Elina married bishnu Sapkota from Baglung on Baisakh 5 in a grand ceremony. However, less than a year later, she finds herself facing questions about the state of her marriage.
The rumors began gaining traction after Elina started following the Osho spiritual path. Recently, the matter escalated further when singer Jyoti Magar posted a Facebook status hinting at a popular singer enduring domestic violence. Although Jyoti deleted the post shortly after, it fueled speculation.
On Thursday, some media outlets reported on Elina’s alleged divorce, further intensifying the buzz around the topic. When OnlineKhabar approached Elina to address the rumors, she chose to remain tight-lipped.
“These questions have been causing me immense mental distress,” Elina said. “Whether I am at the airport or in public spaces, I am constantly asked about this. Being a public figure, I realize this comes with the territory.”
She added, “I won’t say anything about it now. I’m under a lot of stress.” Elina also expressed dissatisfaction with the media’s persistent focus on her private life. She mentioned that her husband is currently in Australia while she is in Nepal.
When asked when she plans to visit Australia, Elina said she couldn’t provide an answer at the moment. While she refrained from speaking openly about the rumors, she conveyed her unhappiness with the current situation.
Despite the personal challenges, Elina remains busy with her professional commitments. She shared that she has scheduled 20-25 performances in January alone.
