Romelu Lukaku’s decisive penalty goal helped Napoli defeat Juventus 2-1 in Serie A on Saturday, ending Juventus’ unbeaten run in the league.
Under new coach Thiago Motta, Juventus had remained unbeaten in 21 league matches. Randal Kolo Muani’s goal initially gave Juventus the lead in Naples, but Franck Anguissa equalized for Napoli in the 57th minute.
Lukaku scored the winning goal in the 69th minute, marking his ninth goal of the season. With this victory, Napoli extended their lead at the top of the league table to six points, accumulating 53 points from 22 matches.
