The film Aktor: Take One, which is set to release on Wednesday, has already secured around 160 shows nationwide as of Monday evening. Since some theaters have yet to open their shows, this number may increase.
The main multiplex chain, QFX, has given 56 shows nationwide, which is considered satisfactory. However, a writ petition has been filed against this film in the district court of Kathmandu. The court has scheduled a hearing for Tuesday.
If the court issues an order in favor of the petitioner, theaters will have to refund the tickets that have already been sold. As a result, some theaters are still awaiting the court’s decision. Despite this, some theaters have started selling tickets before the court’s ruling.
Meanwhile, on Monday evening, the filmmakers are organizing a premiere show. In the midst of this, everyone’s attention is focused on the court hearing scheduled for Tuesday. Aktor: Take One features performances by Pradeep Khadka, Anna Sharma, Divya Rayamajhi, Rajvallabh Koirala, and others. The film, directed by Rajan Bhusal, stars Pradeep Khadka in the lead role.
On the other hand, the producers of the film Aktor had filed a writ petition in the Kathmandu district court on Friday, claiming financial losses due to the similarity in the titles of the two films. They are seeking a ban on the release of Aktor: Take One.
