The movie ‘Mayabi’, set to release on Falgun 14 , is creating a buzz due to its music and aggressive promotion. Two songs from the movie have already been released, and the production team has now unveiled a new song, ‘Sitara Jadeko’, which portrays heartbreak and separation.
Sung by Dikshit Paudel and Samira Thapaliya, with music composed by Shambhujit Baskota and lyrics by Dayaram Pandey and Diwakar Bhattarai, the choreography of the song has also been done by Diwakar Bhattarai himself.
The video of the song, set in a wedding scenario, features the main cast of the film, including Pal Shah, Deepika Prasai, Samim Khan (debut actor), Prashant Tamrakar, Sushil Sitaula, and Karishma Shrestha. In the video, Pal appears emotional while Deepika is shown getting married to Samim. Deepika also looks at Pal with an emotional gaze, showcasing their story of heartbreak and separation.
The film features cinematography by Raju Vikram Thapa and editing by Milan Shrestha. Written and directed by Diwakar Bhattarai, the movie also stars Laxmi Giri, Anshu Maharjan, Ravi Dangol, Rama Prasai, Dipendra Simkhada, and Sangeeta Silwal, among others.
Produced by Dhruba Nyaupane, Raj Katuwal, and Chandra Pant, the film also has Manju Bhandari, Raju Parajuli, and Sumin Oli as co-producers. The executive producers are Praveen Bhattarai and Karan Singh, with investment from Nem Maharjan. ‘Mayabi’ marks Diwakar Bhattarai’s fifth directorial venture.
