Similarly, on Bhadra 27, 2080 , the police reiterated their warning, stating that police uniforms should not be used without permission and, if necessary, approval must be obtained through the audio-visual branch.
The police made this appeal citing the misuse of police uniforms. This warning has divided filmmakers into two groups. Some argue that the police should not interfere with creative freedom, while others agree with the police’s stance.

Amidst this, a recent incident involving police officers in uniform beating a young man during patrol duty in Chitwan has gone viral on social media. Social media users have been criticizing the police for the incident. In response to the criticism, the police officers involved in the assault have been suspended.
In this context, actor and producer Deepak Raj Giri made a sarcastic remark about the issue of police uniforms. On his Facebook account, he expressed dissatisfaction with the police reviewing movie scripts. He wrote, “It is not allowed to show police officers doing bad things in movies while wearing uniforms. The rule requiring the police to review scripts is so ridiculous, as evidenced by today’s incident.”
